I encouarge all interested applicants to get in touch with me, so that we can discuss research interests, potential projects, and funding options (NIH, NSF, NSERC). Toronto is a diverse, multi-ethnic, tolerant, cosmopolitan, safe and friendly city, and there is a strong, interactive group of ecologists, geneticists, and evolutionary biologists in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eeb.utoronto.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology<\/a> at the University of Toronto.<\/h3>\n<p>I am interested and willing to write grants with prospective post-doctoral candidates to the appropriate funding agencies, and am more than happy to offer advice and feedback on fellowship applications.<\/p>\n<p>The following potential funding sources are good starting points:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 I am always interested in potential post-docs. <a href=\"http:\/\/wp.biota.utoronto.ca\/stinchcombe\/?page_id=81\">Please contact me<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology sponsors Post-Doctoral Fellowships as part of a departmental program. Full details on the program, the application process, and time-table can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eeb.utoronto.ca\/about-us\/employment\/postdocs.htm\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 For Canadian citizens and permanent residents, post-doctoral fellowships are available from NSERC Canada. More information on application deadlines and details can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca\/Students-Etudiants\/PD-NP\/PDF-BP_eng.asp\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 For those that are able to tap into the U.S. National Science Foundation, several potential fellowship programs exist:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/funding\/education.jsp?org=DEB&amp;fund_type=3\" target=\"_blank\">Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships in Biology<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/funding\/pgm_summ.jsp?pims_id=5179&amp;org=OISE&amp;from=home\" target=\"_blank\">International Research Fellowship Program<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">\n<p>\u2022 The U.S. National Institutes of Health also offers post-doctoral research fellowships, through the <a href=\"https:\/\/researchtraining.nih.gov\/programs\/training-grants?CFID=28982487&amp;CFTOKEN=b4143a558acfa3fc-215E0B11-5056-9439-7E223BE357FDFDBD\" target=\"_blank\">Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA)<\/a>.
